Sunday Favorites and Christmas in July...

"Sunday Favorites" is a Sunday meme
designed by Chari @ Happy To Design to give bloggers
a chance to share a favorite post from the past!!!

Since many bloggers are participating in Christmas in July events I thought I play along with some more Holiday tablescapes from last December.

Remember the little church I found recently at my local Wegman's grocery store? It's the inspiration and centerpiece for this table with a rustic and casual feel.

At the Dollar store I found some grape wine wreath that had this greenery attached. I just used the greenery and saved the grape wine wreaths for another project.

The Napkins were 70% off at Kohl's and the silverware is 'Winterberry'.

The 'place cards' are actually just from a Christmas Post-it pad and I used pine cones to hold them.

I love the little mice figure bringing home the Christmas tree. It was a gift I received several years ago and I thought it worked with the scale of the church and the tree.

I wanted to try something that used a light sage green table cloth for my last Christmas tablescape and I added silver and crystal items.

The silver angel came from Marshall's and the trees I found at 60% off at Hobby Lobby. The crystal nutcracker candlesticks are from the Christmastree shop.

I used footed crystal candle plates as salad plates and crystal bowls, both also from the Christmastree shop at only a couple of dollars a piece. The little crystal salt cellars are from a local consignment shop - I got 6 of them for $3.

I'm hoping that some of my Christmas tablescapes over the last three days and during Decembers Tablescape Tuesday's gave you some inspiration.
I'm inspired each week by all the talented and creative participants of Tablescape Tuesday.

My wish for you is that your Holiday gatherings and meals will be just what you imagined and that memories are build for years to come.

Welcome to the the 34th 'Three Or More' - Tuesday!!!

Last week when I decided I needed some time away from home and all of the recent events, the first place that came to my mind where my friends, that had moved to North Eastern Ohio end of last year. They bought an old farmhouse on 5 acres surrounded by nature and the Amish.
It was the most peaceful place and the most perfect place to renew my spirit in the midst nature and surrounded by loving friends.

One day we went to discover 'Three Or More' covered bridges in the area.

I love the weathered look, the initials that are carved in the beams and boards decades and even more then a century ago and the craftmanship that went into these little architectural wonders.

Water and the trees just speak to me and I can never pass by a small stream without taking a picture.

What do you have to share for 'Three Or More' ?

Mosaic and Thrifty Treasures Monday...

It's Monday and time to share our photo mosaics
for Mosaic Monday hosted by the wonderful Mary @ Little Red House and it's also Thrifty Treasures Monday hosted by the fabulous Rhoda@Southern Hospitality.

First up is my mosaic for today. See the covered bridge? I took that photo while I was away last week and I'll post more about it in the next couple of days.

I also found some treasures while I was out of town. This old suitcase is perfect for decorating and it will hold much larger vignettes instead of the little one I already own. No way could I pass it up for $8.

I also fell in love with this little school chair it was $15. I'm not sure where it will find a home in our house but when I decide I'll share pictures.

Fertilizer Friday...

It's Friday which means it's time to fertilize our plants inside and out. This fun meme is hosted by Tootsie @ Tootsie Time.
I always take it as an opportunity to take photos of what is currently blooming.
This week I thought I would 'zoom out' and let you take a look around the garden.

This island bed in my front yard is a work in progress.

I love ornamental grasses and have six different kinds around the pool.

The next couple of shots are of more flowers around the pool deck.

The yucca is blooming!
The first year it had one flowering stalk,
last year is did nothing and this year it has four flowering stalks.

I'll end this weeks post with a shot of the flowerbed
around the pool and our two dogs taking a break from playing.

What's blooming at your place inside and out???

Please visit Tootsie's blog for links to other Fertilizer Friday participants.

Outdoor Wednesday...

Susan asked me to link this post to Met Monday. I didn't even think about it but I guess it is a pretty cool Metamorphosis. Please visit the fabulous Susan @Between Naps On The Porch.

It's Outdoor Wednesday hosted by the wonderful Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer.

I took pictures of the veggie garden and looking back at a post from end of May I was stunned how much it has changed in just 5 weeks.

It went from this...

To this!!! Things have grown like weeds.

The Tomatoes are getting huge...

and we have baby green bell peppers...

and snap peas!

I just love this veggie garden. It was one of the better ideas I've had.

Welcome to the the 33rd 'Three Or More' - Tuesday!!!
Today I'm sharing 'Three Or MORE' clothing items.

See, I've been procrastinating for quite some time to organize my dressers and closet.
Let me share a secret with you - Not only do I have an addiction when it comes to pretty dishes but I also love buying clothes.
My problem is that as time goes by and my size changes I have a hard time letting things go. I've tried to rationalize it with: 'They are still good' and 'I may fit back into them someday', but someday hasn't come for a long time and it was truly time to purge. Nothing like not being able to put your clean clothes away because you just simply have run out of space.

No this is not the before shot. This is my closet after purging.
Hey --- I'm trying okay???

But look at all of this!!! This will go to Goodwill and when I see the four big bags full of clothing I think I did alright purging.

Now I can close that closet door and mark that project off of my list and stick to not buying any other clothes unless I get rid of something.

What do you have to share for 'Three Or More' ?

Have a wonderful Tuesday,
